Gus has qualified for the IGL Retriever Championship for 5 consecutive years and ran in the Irish Retriever Championship in 2025.

Gus has only competed in 15 trials in total, including one Novice run and five Championship runs, qualifying five times from nine Open runs.

Qualified for the 2026 Retriever Championship  by winning the 2 day open trial held at Stean. A notoriously difficult ground. He has Proven himself on all types of terrain- crop, sugarbeet, parkland and moorland.

Winner of the IGL Retriever Championship in 2024 where he had the opportunity to show what he's made of - a big heart, drive and outstanding game finding ability. He also earned a place on the England Team for the Skinners World Cup 2024.

His is a key member of my picking up team, working twice weekly throughout the season, alongside competing in trials. He is an exceptional game finding dog with a genuine passion for his work, combined with a beautiful, honest nature, and is always eager to please.

Gus is producing good looking, biddable pups with enthusiasm and drive for training. He has already produced a Field Trial Winner from the first of his offspring to go into competition, showing he his passing on his trainability and temperament.
