About Us

Tucker first started training gundogs as a hobby.  Whilst running a successful dressage training and competition yard, Tucker spent all his spare time rough shooting, picking up and beating in order to work his beloved dogs.

Back then the dogs had to do everything from obediently dogging in poults on a small syndicate shoot to patiently sitting in a pigeon hide alongside all forms of shooting throughout the season.

After retiring from training horses, Tucker decided to refocus his energy on his passion for training gundogs. He designed the facilities at Midland Gundog & Rabbit Pen to produce the highest standards in his own gundogs. This, in turn, benefits all clients training with him.   Tucker’s ethos is to encourage clients to hold the same high standards as he does.  His objective is to make it achievable for clients to produce dogs that are able to make a successful transition from training to shoot days.

“I am very fortunate to do what I love, and being out with my dogs or helping clients is what I enjoy most.”
